Recessed Covers for Finished Floor Surfaces

The recessed cover range is designed for applications where access points must blend with hard floor finishes. These recessed manhole covers offer a flush-fitting solution that supports both aesthetics and function, making them suitable for internal and external environments such as retail areas, commercial premises, public buildings and airports.

Manufactured from aluminium, stainless steel or galvanised steel, these recessed drain covers accept infill materials such as tile, concrete, screed or resin, allowing a continuous floor finish while maintaining secure access to underground services. The shallow 50mm and 73mm trays are aluminium, while the 83mm trays come in galvanised or stainless steel.

Sizes and Tray Depths

Covers run from 200x200mm up to 1200x600mm, with 300x300mm, 400x400mm, 450x450mm, 500x500mm, 600x600mm, 750x750mm, 900x900mm and 1000x1000mm among the standard sizes. Three tray depths are available: 50mm and 73mm for shallow finishes such as tile, and 83mm where a deeper screed or concrete infill is needed. Size to the clear opening of the chamber rather than the overall frame.

Loading

FACTA ratings across the range run from AAA to D. AAA and AA units are intended for pedestrian areas, while B, C and D units are built for progressively heavier use. Check the rating on the individual product against the traffic the finished floor will carry.
