IG Cavity Wall, Box and Single Leaf Metal Lintels

Castings Drainage supplies IG steel lintels for sale, manufactured in galvanised mild steel for load-bearing openings in brickwork and blockwork. A steel lintel, also specified as a metal lintel, is profiled to sit across both leaves of a cavity wall, or as a box section within a single leaf. The range covers cavity widths of 90 to 105mm and 150 to 165mm, standard and heavy duty load ratings across both, and lengths from 900mm to 4800mm.

All IG lintels listed here have an outer leaf of 102mm and an inner leaf of 100mm. The L1/S100 and L1/HD150 carry 30 minutes fire resistance.

  • Standard cavity lintels. The IG L1/S100 suits 90 to 105mm cavities in lengths to 4800mm, and the IG L1/S150 covers 150 to 165mm cavities.
  • Heavy duty cavity lintels. The IG L1/HD100 takes up to 40kN and the IG L1/HD150 up to 35kN, across the same two cavity widths.
  • Box lintels. The IG Box 100 has a fully welded box section for standard load brickwork and blockwork openings. The IG Box 200 is rated for heavy duty masonry openings in lengths to 4800mm.
  • Single leaf lintels. The IG L10 supports the outer leaf of a cavity wall, and can be supplied without a top bend where the build needs it.
