The Silt Stopper is a reusable Gully Silt Trap for protecting 450mm road gullies during construction work. Installed beneath the gully grate and frame, it captures mud, silt and site debris before they enter the surface water drainage system. Water continues to drain through holes near the top of the removable receptacle, allowing the gully to remain operational while work is underway.

The Silt Stopper uses an octagonal receptacle that fits inside a circular road gully pot. A steel plate supports the unit beneath the grate, while drainage holes allow excess water to pass into the gully. The 600mm-deep receptacle provides space for collected sediment and can be lifted out for emptying.
