Fibergrate ThruBeam composite access covers are a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative to traditional cast iron. Manufactured in the UK from glass reinforced polymer (GRP), every cover is D400 load rated to BS EN 124 for use in carriageways, roads, industrial areas and other heavy-duty traffic applications, yet weighs up to 75% less than the cast iron equivalent, reducing manual handling risk and speeding up installation.
Each ThruBeam cover is supplied complete with its frame, sealed as standard to minimise water ingress, odour escape and debris contamination. The GRP construction will not rust, is non-conductive and UV stable, and needs no painting, coating or ongoing corrosion maintenance. Vented and specialist configurations are available on request, and the range is supported by Fibergrate lifting accessories for safe cover removal.
