Description
SML Below Ground Cast Iron 88° Rest Bend
The SML Below Ground Cast Iron 88° Rest Bend is designed for smooth directional change at the base of a soil stack in rest bend drainage systems. Manufactured from high-strength grey cast iron to EN-GJL-150, this fitting delivers long-term durability, chemical resistance and impact strength below ground. It is available as a 150mm and 110mm rest bend (approx. 160mm and 110mm rest bend external diameters) to suit typical underground connections and soil pipe transitions, and it forms a secure, watertight joint within the SML socketless system without special tools.
Benefits
- Reliable Construction: EN-GJL-150 grey cast iron ensures strength and durability.
- Corrosion Resistant: Internal and external epoxy coatings (min. 60 µm) for long-term protection.
- Socketless Jointing: Uses ductile or stainless steel twin-screw couplings for quick installation.
- Low Maintenance: Smooth bore finish minimises build-up and ensures consistent flow.
- Fire Resistant: Non-combustible with A1 fire classification.
