Rectangular Ductile Iron Box for Buried Fire Hydrants

The 380x230x100 FH surface box covers a buried fire hydrant and gives the fire service access to it from the road or footway surface. Its opening is rectangular rather than square, at 380 x 230mm, cast in ductile iron on the same 100mm frame depth as the square valve boxes.
