Larger Ductile Iron Fire Hydrant Box for Standpipe Access

The 430x280x100 FH surface box is the larger of the two fire hydrant boxes in this range. Its rectangular opening measures 430 x 280mm over a 100mm deep frame, cast in ductile iron.

Key Design Features

The extra 50mm each way over the 380x230x100 box is working room. It leaves space around the hydrant outlet for a standpipe to be fitted and turned rather than only cleared. A wider opening puts more load on the seating, which is why the non-rocking cover design earns its place at this size.
